This is not my first time going through the 30-Day Life Quest Playbook. One of the things I love about it is how you can do it over and over and continue to make improvements to your life or explore new paths to adventure on. It can really point out your resistance and where and how you might be holding yourself back.
That said, I felt a twinge of fear as I peered at the Day 1 prompt and considered how to stretch myself. Part of that is because I have already been envisioning what that might look like and it brings more responsibility and showing up more in the world.
As an introvert, this is my Achilles heel. Despite all I have done to strengthen myself in this area (theater, public readings, speeches, teaching, piano performances in various venues, etc.), it continues to make my stomach knot up.
I suppose that’s okay. I can feel those things and still move forward. That is the benefit of doing this inner work. I get to be in control.
By the way, I committed to going through this process and documenting it for this website because:
- I want to demonstrate how well I think this process can work so that others might want to try it as well.
- It is a fairly strong accountability system. I like being a person that does what they say they are going to do.
So, let’s do it.
