I love the exploration of Day 2. Thinking about what stands in the way of achieving our goals is pretty standard, everyday thinking. I certainly have a list. It might go something like:
- I have two many projects going on right now to think about something else.
- It occurs as a lot of work to figure out how to do what I want to do (and I’m already figuring out and doing other projects).
- People are mean. If I show up too much in the world or have a message, they will rip me and the message apart (doesn’t sound fun).
I could probably go on. My list has varied over the years. Sometimes, money may have seemed like the biggest holdback. Other moments, having enough time might be the restraint.
If I had some magic elixir to remove all obstacles, what would that experience look like?
I think a lot could be created with that freedom. And, it gives me some ideas to actually bypass some of those perceived blocks. Now, I’m getting excited about what is beginning to take root in my mind.
By the way, I know obstacles and overcoming them is a pathway to growth. I’m actually okay with that. However, taking a moment to imagine the path clear and the goal apparent, has a interesting effect–at least it does on me. Those obstacles become more like stepping stones. Or, even better, they are a catalyst to a creative solution that I wouldn’t have thought of before.
Onward, ever onward.
