Day 20 (Sheila) – On the Right Track

Today’s exploration actually reminded me that I am pretty close to living my ideal day. The main missing ingredient is me being more connected with the world and I have been actively working on that.

The main components of my day are being creative, maintaining routines and systems I’ve created, and having a clear shift to spending time with my husband.

I have shifted my office a couple times already over the past year to make it more in line with my goals. My main focus is writing, but I also have space to explore arts and craft creations as well. Right now it is a little messy because I have some in-process craft items (five faux terrariums and some cabochons wrapped in hemp knots-fun!).

I also have a few wooden cutout designs that I want to paint and get up on my wall. That would enhance things for sure. It makes me wonder why I haven’t done it yet. Part of that is because I feel like I have to get on computer and get to work and then I don’t think of those little extra things that I could just do and be done with.

The past two weeks I’ve been dumping all the things that I want to get done into ChatGPT at the beginning of the week (to include exercise, cleaning, specific project progress, etc.) and it has done a nice job in organizing my time in a way that feels doable and ensures nothing gets dropped. Of course, I always remember 2-3 things later that I forgot to include…I suspect that will happen less and less and I grow more productive.

This “trying things out” phase of things can be fun and I am enjoying the process. The joy and fun element of this lifestyle is unreachable by my default self. I am clear on that.

Anyway, I feel like there is always room to grow and our goals may become more defined or shift slightly as experience shows us more clearly what we want or what actually gets us closer to those goals.

Here’s to our new habits spiraling us upwards…!
