It is a little wild to me how over the past few days I’m basically getting the prompt for the day outside of the journal before I even open up my 30 Day Experiment book to see what’s on. That is always a nudge to me that the message is extra important for me to absorb and (probably) act on.
What I am most clear on when I think about my life quest is that the way of being is at the center of everything. It is not so much about what I am accomplishing, but what values those accomplishments are springing from.
I came across a speaker online this morning that reminded me that no matter what I do in this life (because lots of things can happen that block various pathways), that the way we do it matters more.
Values like integrity or compassion or wisdom can be brought into and applied to many activities. Those are values that I strive to embody in my often imperfect way.
I have been actively engaged in what I perceive to be my life quest for the past couple of years. I am spending time doing things that I feel are important. I also am finding that there are many things that I find important that are not directly related to writing or creating art. It’s kinda nice to allow myself to become more dimensional.
There is a lot of learning on the journey. But, hey, learning begats wisdom.
